Research: extracellular vesicles for heart-tissue regeneration

Exosomes as a promising, cell-free therapeutic tool — and a foundation for our EV platform.

20242 min read

Theertha-affiliated research published in BioFactors (2024) reviews extracellular vesicles (EVs), or exosomes, as a promising therapeutic tool in heart-tissue regeneration.

EVs carry molecular cargo between cells and are being explored as cell-free regenerative therapies — potentially delivering the benefits of cell therapy without transplanting the cells themselves. This line of research underpins Theertha's exosome and extracellular-vesicle platform.
